Bullants United
The Preston Bullants Amateur Football Club (PBAFC) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Northern Bullants Football Club (NBVFL) to launch the NBVFL/PBAFC Men’s Under 23 Development Squad for Season 2025.
This historic partnership, combined with the Bullants Academy initiated by the Preston Bullants Junior Football Club (PBJFC), establishes an elite football pathway from juniors to amateur to professional levels.
A Clear Path to Higher Levels
Players selected for the PBAFC Under 23 Development Squad will gain an incredible opportunity to be involved in the NBVFL program throughout next season. This collaboration creates a unique platform for young footballers aspiring to compete at a higher level, including potential entry into the AFL system.
NBVFL President Whitlam Malkoum expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “There is now a unique pathway for footballers from the juniors (PBJFC) to the PBAFC to the NBVFL. We wear the same colours and sing the same song. We are three proud clubs, united, one Bullant.”
PBAFC President Damian Howard highlighted the significance of this moment: “This is a momentous occasion for PBAFC as we attract elite talent who wish to pursue their dream of playing at a higher level. We now offer a clear and structured pathway to support their growth and development. The Under 23 Development Squad coaching staff will work closely with NBVFL coaches to monitor and develop players, ensuring they are ready for the next step.”
Developing the Next Generation
In addition to this partnership between PBAFC and NBVFL, the PBJFC has launched the Bullants Academy, a user-pays high-performance training program for aspiring players under 18 years of age. With expert guidance from renowned strength and conditioning specialist Brad Jenkinson of Holistic Athlete Development (HAD), the academy will prepare young players to reach their full potential.
