GARY BELL

UNDER 19’S COACH

Preston Bullants AFC is excited to announce the coaching appointment of Gary Bell who will be leading our under 19’s team in season 2024.

Gary has an extensive coaching background with 15 years of experience in both football and cricket entrenched within the northern suburbs.

His football coaching roles have seen him involved at junior level with two clubs - the Bundoora Park Thunderbolts where he coached for 4 years and more recently at the Preston Bullants JFC in season 2023 where he was Assistant coach in the youth boys team that reached the Grand Final in Division 2.

Gary has an esteemed cricket coaching background which includes 13 years at senior level with Rivergum Cricket Club who were extremely successful during his tenure with five A grade Premierships.
Along with this he coached the North Metro Cricket Association representative teams for a decade across multiple age groups up to Under 21 level.

Gary will work closely with our Senior men’s coaching group with an open mindset to the development of his own coaching skills which will translate to the integrated coaching philosophy across all 3 men’s teams. His proven ability to apply cross functional skills to assist in youth development will hold him in good stead as he embarks on the under 19’s campaign at the commencement of pre-season in November.
